"As a newcomer to the Conejo Valley in 2004, I found the TOWC to be a 'new Home' indeed. I quickly pitched in to assist with the charity projects, hopped on the Ways & Means Committee, and found I had many new friends and lots of opportunities to be an integral part of the Club team. Holding a variety of offices, meeting Members of the Community and the various charities has made me feel as though I’ve lived here forever. Try us, you’ll love us !"

"As Parliamentarian, I serve the Thousand Oaks Women Club as advisor and consultant for Board Meetings and General Meetings. My primary duty is to give advice to the Board members to ensure the parliamentary procedure is carried on efficiently and that the actions of TOWC members are in accordance with the By-laws of TOWC and the Roberts Rules of Order.

In addition to enjoying the many and varied social activities, I am so proud to be a member of a club which is dedicated to supporting our local community and charitable organizations, helping to address the ever-increasing need of our neighbors. Of particular interest is the Scholarship Fund which awards scholarships to selected students from the local high schools to assist in funding their pursuits of higher education at our local community colleges."

"My job is to advertise the Woman's Club and bring new members to the Club. I do it by using the internet. I have found a website that covers over ten communities and close to 11,000 members. All these communities are around Thousand Oaks. I also advertise in the weekly publication, Acorn. It is a nice way to welcome new members."

Yearbook
Gail Aldrich

Gail Aldrich

"The Thousand Oaks Woman’s Club creates a Yearbook for its Members every year. The Yearbook contains a photo address book of our Members and outlines our plan for the year. The book provides our calendar for meetings which include Entertainment/Programs, Activities and the list of Board Members. We always include the Articles of Incorporation. The Yearbook Committee Chair collects information for the new year from the other Board Members and updates information for its Members in June and July. We have it printed in August and we distribute it to our Members at our September Meeting."
